Symmetrical components technique is a tool used in the detection of power system faults and analysis of unbalanced conditions in the power system.

Miriam has been actively involved with the IEEE/PES since college days at UNC Charlotte and has over 30 years experience in power system protection and communications.  Currently an Instructor with SEL, she delivers courses on subjects ranging from protection fundamentals to communication fundamentals.
